It’s decision day and all the couples are waking up by themselves after spending the night without their significant other. Jessica cannot believe that it’s already been eight weeks. She feels like she’s known Austin forever and she’s already in love with him. Now that the final day is here the only thing that bothers her is that he has not told her that he loves her. He has been open with her, sharing that it takes him longer and he wants to make sure that he really means it.
They both arrive to sit with the therapist in the pastor. They both share how they really enjoy their relationship and they get along great. They both talk about how he travels for work and how it’ll be a challenge.
The subject of Austin and the three words comes up, I love you. He’s a little uncomfortable but explains his point of view. The pastor tells them that it is time for them to decide if they want to stay together or get a divorce.
Jessica tells Austin that she loves him and she wants to stay together. Austin fumbles a little bit but then confesses that he does love her and he wants to stay with her! They all share champagne. Jessica is thrilled.
Taylor wakes up alone feeling nervous. Marriage is something she really wants. Past clips are shown of Brandon sharing that he is attracted to his wife and he can’t wait to spend time with her. Taylor shares that the last couple of weeks have been difficult. She has no idea if he will show up for decision day.
Taylor arrives to meet the pastor and therapist. She tells them she has seen Brandon since he left the show and refuses to be filmed.
Taylor is crying. She has no regrets. Brandon shows up. He shares that he almost did not come because the show made him late to work after the couple’s retreat. Production held him up and he demanded an apology. He has since received the apology. That’s why he is here now.
The therapist asks why he is smiling and acting so smug. He tells them they made him late. The pastor shares that he has been on this show for 7 seasons and they have never made anyone late. Brandon tells them he needs to leave for the bathroom. They are all annoyed and shocked. They talk to Taylor. She shares that she has tried. They don’t know why she stays. Brandon returns from the bathroom. They ask what Taylor and Brandon want to do.
Taylor tells Brandon that she tried and they did have some good times but after all that has happened, she wants a divorce. Brandon stands up and tells them all he is over this. He leaves. Taylor is so upset. She wanted to find someone to spend her life with. For Brandon, he wanted to find his soulmate. But all of this was too much for him.
Michael admits that he and Meka are not in the place they should be or want to be but he hopes that things can get better. He didn’t come into this process to fail. So if this doesn’t work it’ll be devastating.
For Meka, the pressure of today comes from making the right decision. The last eight weeks are not what she wanted or hoped for. In the beginning, Michael lied a lot but he seems to be making a conscious effort to tell her the truth.
For Michael, he feels proud over the last eight weeks. He does know that there’s a lot to overcome. He has no idea what her decision is going to be.
They both arrive on decision day. Michael admits that he was not completely honest but he came back day after day to work on the marriage. The pastor and therapist ask what they have both decided. Meka shares that she has no idea who Michael really is and for that reason, she wants a divorce. Michael is devastated. He doesn’t believe in divorce.
