Married at First Sight is just that – a show putting together two strangers as a married pair. Obviously, things won’t be easy for couples. However, fans are claiming that several couples on season 10 of the Lifetime show appear to be uncomfortable with each other. In fact, they say this relates to three out of the five couples currently on Married at First Sight. Viewers ask, are showrunners doing this just for the ratings or do they need new experts?
Zach Justice and Mindy Shiben
Fans have recently claimed that Zach and Mindy are mismatched. Zach has already told Mindy that he doesn’t feel a “spark” for her and no physical attraction. On paper, they seem perfectly matched, but in reality, they are finding it difficult to even establish a friendship, let alone a good marriage. She is down-to-earth and family-oriented, he relies on attraction.
Brandon Reid and Taylor Dunklin
Brandon became angry at Taylor after she filmed him snoozing and snoring during a get-together at the pool with the other couples. Because of this, he was giving Taylor the silent treatment. Taylor was surprised to hear Brandon was upset over such a silly thing. Does he have no sense of humor?
Michael Watson and Meka Jones
Michael and Meka’s wedding ceremony went off without a hitch. However, now they are celebrating their honeymoon in Panama, things aren’t going so well. Since they left the plane for their honeymoon, they have been having nothing but arguments on the subject of sex. Meka doesn’t appreciate Michael giving her an ultimatum about sex, where he said without it their marriage would be over. However, Michael appears to be rethinking things and trying to understand his new wife’s thoughts on the sexual side of their relationship.
Fans blame the show’s experts
According to fans, the fault lies squarely with the experts on Marriage at First Sight – Dr. Viviana Coles, Dr. Pepper Schwarts, and Pastor Calvin Roberson – saying they had mismatched the couples. One fan posted on Twitter that the show is “Not about love, it’s about ratings.”
Another wrote, “The experts introduced mad couples this season yet more than half of ‘ em is the worst pairings,” adding that the show needs new “experts.”
Keep watching Married at First Sight on Lifetime every Wednesday to see how the couples fare.
