It is no denying that there was no other couple on season 10 of Married at First Sight that were a better match then Jessica Studer and Austin Hurd. They both became fan-favorites as their relationship continued to grow as the relationships around them seemed to be on shaky ground. Jessica and Austin’s relationship had an instant connection from the start, and they would continue to have very few problems going forward. Jessica did have a few concerns about Austin not saying the words “I Love You” and would also have concerns about his intensive travels for work.

Although Jessica and Austin were not the only ones who would decide to stay together on Decision Day, they would be the only couple that would still be together during the reunion show. Since they did stay together, they were invited to be apart of the new quarantine spin-off, Married at First Sight: Couples’ Cam. This will also include eight other couples that appeared in other seasons from before season 10. This will allow for viewers and fans of the couples to get updates on their favorite couples from the past seasons.

The unexpected pandemic has affected many people as many have had to stay home and essential workers have been pushed to the front lines. This show will explore how couples’ relationships have been affected and how they may be dealing with new situations. One of the couple’s who has seen a shift in their situation has been Jessica and Austin. As viewers of MAFS’ season 10 know that one of the biggest problems the couple had was that Jessica had concerns about Austin’s job. As he would be traveling a lot for his job, however, this concern seemed to frustrate Austin, who felt like he was not being supported.

However, it seems that the pandemic and lockdown has turned the tables for the couple. Austin, who is a network engineer, has been spending more time at home as his wife, Jessica, is working front line as a nurse.

The two shared the change during the new series. Jessica stated, “When we first got married, I was worried about Austin traveling a lot for work, but now I’m the one that’s gone all the time working as a nurse.” Austin would go on to confirm this, “Yea tables have turned a bit….now I’m the one [sitting around] waiting, waiting for Jess to get home.”

She would go on to reveal that she will be starting a new position as the director of the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit at the hospital that she works at. Although she is excited about this new position, she revealed that she will miss the unit that is currently working with. Austin is happy for her but is worried about the chances that she will be exposed to the virus. Jessica went on to assure him that she will be fine and has no fears of catching the virus.
