With less than five weeks to D-Day, the couples have been asked to take steps to deepen their trust and intimacy. These relationships needed these things more than anything else if they wanted to survive as a couple. No couple could move on without a proper understanding of each other and so the couple experts took some time to chat with each couple about it is they needed to achieve trust.

Olivia and Brett were the first to speak with the experts. They were asked about how things were going with them and in one aspect they were doing very well. They were cat people. They each had cats in the apartment and everyone seemed to be getting along.

If there was a problem, then it would be intimacy not trust. Brett for example believed in PDA. He wanted to touch Olivia and the experts have noticed that sometimes he acts like he wants to initiate contact with his wife, but then he pulls away at the last minute and he does that because he knows Olivia.

Olivia was not a fan of casual intimacy. She cringed sometimes when he touched her. She said she wasn’t really affectionate and what she meant by that is that she’s never initiated contact with Brett. They haven’t even had sex or explore anything sexually. Olivia said she wants the feeling to be more involved before she took that step and she also added that she’s never told Brett “no”.

Olivia said that she told Brett that he should take that step when he feels he’s ready. Only how can he when she’s so cold receptively. Brett said there was no enthusiasm on her part and so why should he make a move he knows is going to be rejected. He wasn’t going to put himself out there like that.

It had to be Olivia that wanted something more with him. She was going to have to be willing and open and right now she’s just not there. Olivia doesn’t what intimacy with Brett. She sometimes acts like she doesn’t even like Brett and so he was more or less carrying this relationship on his own. And their intimacy is at a zero.

Miles and Karen were doing better. Karen has expressed attraction to Miles in the past and so it was the act of sex that left her hesitant. She didn’t want to take that step with Miles. She thought it was too soon and at the same time, she didn’t necessarily want to talk about it when she would be ready to have sex because she doesn’t want to talk about it on camera.

Karen said her family and friends were watching. She didn’t want to mention something so embarrassing in front of them and so the relationship experts gave her tips about how she can write husband notes or send him text messages.

They couldn’t just ignore the topic of sex. Miles and Karen are married and they needed to talk about intimacy. The expert gave them homework. She gave them questions and ideas on how to build up their relationship. One of the most important parts of this homework is that Karen has to talk to Miles.

He couldn’t be a mind reader. He tried to joke about them having sex and he offended her so much that she refused to come home. She had waited a day before coming back. She had said at the time that she had felt threatened and so communication is key here. She should have told her husband what she was feeling when she was feeling it.

Only Karen can say what she’s comfortable with. She and Miles later followed the expert’s advice. They started working out together and that led to them talking more. They would joke about who was in better shape. They would also talk about other things that were on their minds and so it was progressing.

It was slow progress, but it was progressing and that was better than nothing. Karen and Miles weren’t where Woody and Amani are. Woody and Amani were given homework as well. They were asking each other questions that might not normally come up and their homework made them laugh.

They would crack up as they talked about sex positions. Woody found out that Amani secretly wanted to put her legs up on his shoulders during sex and so he promised to lock that away for next time. The couple also shared kisses as they discussed these matters.

They stay connected throughout the entire conversation and that’s what the others needed to achieve. Woody and Amani have grown accustomed to living with each other. So, why was it take the others so long to get hugging down? Christina and Henry were still doing their best to become friends. They referred to themselves as friends that we’re married and so that made the experts paused.

No one wanted Christina and Henry to get stuck in the friendzone. The experts spoke with the couple about why they haven’t sought out the most basic forms of intimacy and Henry said the emotions needed to be there. He needed to be deeply involved with someone before he slept with them. Henry hasn’t tried to touch Christina or even take her hand and Christina wants to be wanted.

She wants Henry to make a move. This is the longest she’s ever waited to sleep with someone and that’s all because of Henry. He just did not seem interested. He told the experts he needed more time and yet he was making no moves to get there with Christina and she didn’t want to put herself out there with a man she knows wasn’t interested.

Bennett and Amelia were another couple doing well. They were a good match in the sense they laughed, loved, and truly lived together. They are a couple and there is no doubt about it. Though the experts thought they could do with affirmations and confronting some truths.

The couple naturally started with the easy one. They went with affirmations and even as the couple was saying what it is they liked about each other they were hugging. They had their heads pressed together. Their noses were touching and they were just so connected throughout the whole experience that their relationship seemed to be doing well.

Almost, too well. Amelia and Bennett haven’t had any serious disagreements. Bennett once thought it was because Amelia “unconditionally enamored” of him. He said Amelia didn’t want to tell him anything negative and that she was holding back. He also thought that could be a problem. He wondered why she seemed to agree with almost everything and so again this is where Woody and Amani excel.

The two of them have several disagreements about how they were going to raise. How they were going to raise their dog. They’ve even argued about when they should get a dog. Woody thought they should get a dog when they have a baby so that the dog and the baby could grow up together.

Amani thought they should get the dog first. She even threatened to bring home a dog one day and so she wasn’t afraid to offer some pushback. If she was concerned about something, she would address it while Amelia would not. Amelia’s residency could mean she has to move.

She hasn’t talked about this with her husband Bennett because she could see how happy he was in the city and she wasn’t sure she wanted to take that from him. Amelia and Bennet didn’t really argue and meanwhile, Olivia and Brett’s homework directly led to them arguing. The two got into a fight as they were trying to be open with each other.

Olivia had apparently mentioned a look that Brett would sometimes get. He would look at her “sarcastically” and she didn’t like it. Brett had no idea how he could look at someone sarcastically. He asked Olivia to explain it to him. She did her best to do so and she told him how that look made her feel.

It made her feel like she wasn’t being taken seriously. She thought Brett was using that look to make fun of what she was saying or doing and she asked him to cut him out. He still didn’t get the look. So, she told him that she would tell him in the future when he has the look. Olivia took homework to mean she should address everything she found wrong in her relationship and so it led to a fight.

Karen and Miles took their homework to mean they should discuss anything everything. They discussed hypotheticals. They discussed possible terms of endearment for each other and they laughed about the truly awful couple names they would have. Karen also asked Miles if she’s ever said anything to him that he’s been upset with and she has.

She once mentioned that she was where he is now five years ago. He felt that was a little disrespectful because it made him feel like he was working backward and she was not. Karen understood where he was coming. She apologized and they continued talking.

Miles and Karen were vulnerable to each other. Just not as vulnerable as Christina and Henry who asked each other questions while wearing blindfolds. Henry was a lot freer with a blindfold. He mentioned he was still hesitant about things because in his mind he’s still that fat kid and so it was hard to be confident. Henry tried to tell Christina he was doing his best to move past that, but what he said had stumped her.

Christina couldn’t understand why he would bring up something from so long ago. She felt Henry should have gotten over it by now and so it was a good thing he was wearing the blindfold when he was being questioned. Else he might have seen Christina sporting her own look.

Christina was next to wear the blindfold as she was asked questions. She was asked what was her biggest dealbreaker and she said lack of confidence. She wanted the man she was with to be confident in himself. Henry knew he wasn’t and so that did make him question a future relationship with Christina. Later, Henry met up with Bennett.

Bennett mentioned that Amelia might have to move and that he was worried. He cares about Amelia. He wants to have a future with her and so going with her was something he considered. It just depended on where she was going. Bennett was open with Henry and so Henry was able to address his own issues.

Henry told Bennett how Christina’s dealbreaker might be the end for them. He was not a confident man and he wasn’t sure if he could become one. Henry even brought this up with Christina. He told her that he was not really a confident person and so he asked her if it was intentional that she mentioned it to him.

She told him she wasn’t trying to be. Christina was just now realizing how important that was to her because she was a confident person herself and so she asked Henry if he could ever get there. And he told her that he didn’t know.

He didn’t know if he could be what Christina needed.
