Season 10 of Married at First Sight has seen controversy over Zach Justice’s lack of attraction for his wife, Mindy Shiben. Now Zach is being criticized on Couples Couch, while prior couples tell him he should have just told Pastor Cal to end his marriage to Mindy, instead of stringing her along and hurting her.
Married at First Sight Spoilers: Zach Justice and Mindy Shiben marriage
Let’s face it, nobody’s perfect, especially when it comes to marriage at first sight, however, Zach Justice is really feeling the flak from former MAFS couples. Everyone knows that Zach said he didn’t find Mindy Shiben attractive following their wedding, and critics feel he shouldn’t keep stringing Mindy along. After he announced the lack of attraction for Mindy following their wedding, Zach has now refused to move in with Mindy in Washington, DC.
Pastor Cal paid Zach and Mindy a visit on the latest episode of Married at First Sight, wanting to discuss their issues. Meanwhile, the former couples were watching the February 12 broadcast of the Couples Couch, and proceeded to give Zach a piece of their collective mind.
While watching, various comments were made about Zach, with Elizabeth Bice saying she felt like gagging while looking at Zach’s perfect hair and tattoos. Jamie Thompson spoke up, saying Zach is so mean to Mindy, but nice to everyone else.
Zach was trying to explain that something was missing in his relationship with Mindy, listing the things he was attracted to about her, but saying sexual attraction was the missing link. Zach told Pastor Cal that chemistry is intangible in a relationship and cannot be manufactured. Pastor Cal then asked Zach if he wanted out of the marriage, or did he want to stay and try to work things out with her?
The other couples piped up with most of them saying he should get out of the marriage, with Elizabeth particularly asking how much more he is going to “f**k this girl’s life up.”
Zach responded by saying Mindy is an amazing person, but then admitted he wasn’t completely sure attraction could grow between them. Meanwhile, Zach told Pastor Cal that he wanted to work on his marriage to Mindy. Those watching didn’t believe him, and likely Pastor Cal also didn’t really believe Zach’s response.
Married at First Sight Spoilers: Can chemistry grow from nothing?
Pastoc Cal said that spending more time together could make the chemistry grow between Zach and Mindy. He eventually told Zach to be patient and to give time for his connection to Mindy to grow and develop. The other couples believe this to be a waste of time.
Zach explained his reasoning for not moving in with Mindy right away saying he didn’t want to force himself on her for the sake of entertainment and the MAFS cameras. Reportedly he is hoping that by spending time apart, he would find himself missing Mindy and wanting to reach out to her.
On Wednesday night, Pastor Cal said Zach “needs to man up” and that he should, at least, move in with Mindy to get to know her, find out who she is and see whether their relationship could work. Keep watching Married at First Sight on Wednesday nights on Lifetime at 8 PM ET/PT.
