There’s not much more information on the film at this time, including who will be cast in the movie, the director, as well as plot details. In addition to Hahn and Aniston, Diablo Cody is the only other name currently linked to the project, and as per reports, is working on the latest script draft.
“9 To 5” Was Legendary For It’s Time
The original 9 to 5 centered around three women who worked in a corporate office, reporting to the same boss.
The movie starred Dolly Parton, Lily Tomlin, and Jane Fonda as the three female employees answering to their egotistical, sexist, lying, bigot boss, played by actor Dabney Coleman.
They come together for an evening to share their gripes and even fantasize about garnering revenge on Coleman’s character, detailing murder plots to one another.
The next day, some misunderstandings lead them all to think their fantasies are coming to fruition.
The flick was very successful with critics and audiences alike and boosted Dolly Parton’s career from beyond “country music singer” into mainstream acting fame.
A television spinoff was produced shortly after the fact, and a Broadway musical was also adapted in 2009, with new original music by Parton.
