John Cena And Jason Momoa To Star In Action Comedy “Killer Vacation”
Warner Bros Recruits Two Huge Actors To Star In An Upcoming Comedy
I guess Dwayne Johnson and Will Smith have normalized seeing big strong men goof off onscreen for the viewing pleasure of fans.
This time round, we’re going to be seeing former WWE wrestler John Cena star alongside “Aquaman” actor Jason Momoa.
While we’ve seen John Cena star in fun family movies before, like that Christmas movie with Will Ferrell, Momoa hasn’t actually shown off his funny bone before.
At this moment, the plot details are under wraps, though, from the name, it’s likely to be a vacation gone wrong. What we can’t figure out is it a family vacation or a bro vacation? (Fingers crossed for a bro vacation plot).
The pair originally met on the set of the upcoming conclusions to the “Fast and the Furious” franchise, and they’re now looking forward to taking their onscreen chemistry to the next level.
The script is reportedly written by duo Mark and Brian Gunn, with John Rickard and Peter Safran joining in as producer. It is said that the film has already been packaged and set before Safran and Gunn were brought in to head up Warner Bros. DC Films Unit.
Both stars are well-versed in action movies so it shouldn’t be hard for them to take up this “killer” new project. Cena featured in “The Suicide Squad” and even has his own spinoff “The Peacemaker.”
Whereas we’ve seen Jason Momoa as the DC superhero “Aquaman”. He also appeared in Denis Villeneuve’s “Dune” starring Zendaya and Timotheé Chalamet.
Both stars are repped by WME.
