However, a surprising phone call soon changes everything, and the men are asked if they will provide a home placement for a foster child, Emmett. Excited about becoming foster parents, Aaron and David go into overdrive preparing the house for their new family member.
However, it doesn’t go as they’d expected. Emmett is revealed to be a 13-year-old teenager, not a young child like they had requested. After some thought, the couple agrees to give Emmett a home for a week while the agency arranges a long-term care placement for him.

Aaron and David soon have a lot on their plate. Elly soon notices what’s happening and steps in with some good parenting advice. While there the men cuddle with Aster, soon admitting that what they really want is a baby. But what they don’t know is that Emmett can hear them, leading to him angrily confronting the couple and running away.

There is a frantic search to find Emmet, as the couple does their best to prove that they do care about him. Thankfully he is found and goes back home with them, but the week continues to be hard.
The day before Emmett’s due departure they throw him a leaving BBQ, but a surprising encounter with Paul convinces Emmett that he wants to stay!
