Neighbours Spoilers: Baby Storyline For Aaron And David

Next week sees Neighbours’ first same sex married couple Aaron and David discussing their long-term future. For the couple – who got married in September – this includes children.

The storyline begins on a not so happy note for the pair, although an amusing one for viewers. David and Aaron row over how they should look after their new goldfish and, in particular, its name.

Aaron gets frustrated and asks how they’re going to cope raising a child of their own in the future if they can’t even decide on a name for their pet right now. A seemingly simple question, but one that leads to a very serious conversation between the two.

As the talk becomes one about their long-term plans, Aaron confesses that he wants to start a family of their own sooner rather than later. Unfortunately, though, David doesn’t agree, believing that it’s too soon for them to have a child.

The thought of children stays in his head though, as he seeks out his sister Amy Williams for some sisterly advice. He leaves the conversation still feeling that, although it is too soon to move on to that stage, but he’s still got some serious thinking to do.

He realises that it takes a long time and a lot of planning for a same sex couple to have a child. For this reason, David tells Aaron that they can get started on researching the process, but makes it clear that he doesn’t want to start a family too soon.

Though it’s not exactly the news he wanted Aaron is delighted and gets to researching the process right away.

How long will it before David and Aaron have a family of their own?
