After cheating on Mark with his sister, revealing the scandal to him only after they were married, it looked as though Elly had found herself single again. However, Mark and Elly manage to sort out their problems this week and work on a future as husband and wife.
This comes after Elly believes she might be pregnant, with a test confirming her thoughts. Though she did not want to use a baby as a way to win Mark back she had no choice but to tell him.
Neighbours Spoilers – Mark Brennan Always Dreamed Of Having A Family
Mark made the decision to get back with her and grow their family. Although they’re back together, Elly knows deep down that Mark is only with her because he has always dreamed of having a wife and a child.
When Elly visits Erinsborough hospital to confirm her pregnancy, a blood test reveals that she’s not actually pregnant – the home-test showed a false positive. The news is devastating for Elly, not only was she happy to be having a child but she also fears that Mark will dump her if he finds out the truth.
Elly heads to Leo Tanaka (Tim Kano) for advice, who suggests that Elly tries to seduce Mark and hopefully get pregnant for real. However, that plan doesn’t go ahead as Mark is not yet ready to be intimate after Elly’s betrayal.
