Spoilers have now confirmed that Elly will return to Erinsborough next week to confront Shaun Watkins.
Just a few weeks ago, Elly abruptly left Erinsborough after an argument with her sister and Finn. She chose to spend some time with her mother rather than being caught up in the drama that Finn was creating surrounding her and the baby. In truth, the actress was written out last minute to recover from stress and exhaustion in real life.
Spoilers reveal that Elly rushes back to Erinsborough next week when she finds out that Bea has been admitted to hospital. She has sustained electric shock from a faulty microphone lead, but what Elly and Bea don’t know is that Scarlett Brady had purposely tampered with the music equipment as part of her dark plan to woo Ned Willis. Though Elly left after their argument, she rushes back to Erinsborugh as soon as she hears about her sister. Thankfully, Bea is recovering well, but the drama isn’t over just yet.
When Elly meets with Shaun for a catch up she is thankful for his support. However, he reads the situation completely wrong, and asks what she thinks about the two of them being in a relationship. Elly is caught off guard, but makes it clear to Shaun that the two of them will only ever be friends.
Meanwhile, David Tanaka remains cautious of Shaun who was acting very suspiciously just days before. David decides to take a look through Shaun’s things and finds that he’s been concealing a secret custody contract, which makes it look like he is trying to take the baby. David immediately confronts Shaun, who insists that his mother gave him the contract and he has no plans to carry through with it. Trying to prove his point, he burns the paperwork.
He further reveals plans to move to Erinsborough to support Elly and their baby.
But is Shaun telling the truth?
