Finn was left in a serious condition, fighting for his life after Susan Kennedy (Jackie Woodburne) pushed him off a cliff last year. Though it was in self-defence – she was protecting herself, Xanthe, Bea and Elly from his violent tempter – she still admitted that she wanted him dead.
But when Finn wakes up he can’t remember any of it – in fact, he believes that it is 2007 and he’s still in university. The doctors at Erinsborough hospital confirm that he has retrograde amnesia, but those who know him fear it’s just an act to try escape being convicted of his crimes.
As Susan has previously had amnesia after slipping on some milk, she wants to visit Finn herself and see if he’s being genuine. She’s shocked to see the new Finn, with a polite and pleasant personality. After having a conversation with him, she is convinced he is being genuine.
Neighbours – The New Finn Will Be Confronted By His Past
As his ex-girlfriend, Bea Nilsson (Bonnie Anderson) also goes to visit Finn, but isn’t too sure about his amnesia diagnosis, especially considering he conned her by putting on a charming ‘Patrick’ persona.
Fearful that Susan will become a pawn in one of his games, and that his nieces will end up hurt again, Karl Kennedy (Alan Fletcher) goes against all medical advice and confronts Finn about all the pain that he has but his family through.
In a very unprofessional move, Karl even tells him all the details of every crime he has committed – including attempting to poison the students of Erinsborough High. How will the new Finn react when he is confronted by his past?
