Spoilers reveal that Neighbours is to explore the notion of consent next week.

New Neighbours character Hendrix Greyson (Benny Turland) will be at the centre of a pertinent storyline next week, when he faces backlash for failing to understand the meaning of consent.

It’s the school dance next week at Erinsborough High, which has been renamed by Harlow Robinson (Jemma Donovan) and Mackenzie Hargreaves (Georgie Stone) as the Butterfly Ball. It sounds lovely, but what will go down isn’t actually very lovely at all.

Neighbours Spoilers – Sheila Canning Ditches Hendrix Greyson

After they kissed at Sheila Canning’s (Colette Mann) birthday party – and Hendrix was totally cool with the fact that Mackenzie is transgender – they attend the ball together. However, when she sees her friends and wants to spend time with them, she unintentionally ditches him.

Intoxicated after a heavy pre-drinks session, Hendrix is left furious and wants to get back at Mackenzie. For this reason, he retaliates by kissing Olivia, but he doesn’t stop there. Hendrix then goes on and forces a kiss with Harlow, who is deeply offended and unimpressed. She slaps him, bruising not only his face but his ego.

After watching his sons behaviour, Pierce Greyson (Tim Robards) is horrified that he forced himself upon a woman like that. Considering his basic lack of understanding of consent, and hearing how much he drank before the ball, Pierce gives Hendrix a mighty verbal telling off.

Neighbours Spoilers – Hendrix Greyson Rips His Father

Hendrix can’t take any more humiliation, and sick of Pierce pretending to be a caring father, he grabs the microphone at the ball. In front of everyone there he lets rip on his father, calling him a deadbeat dad and slamming Pierce’s girlfriend Chloe, accusing her of trying to get between him and his father.

Just as you’d expect, everyone in the room is shocked, but no one more than Pierce. With his friends and professional colleagues also in the room, he isn’t going to let this one slide!

Tune into Neighbours on Friday 11th October to watch these scenes unfold!
