The tables are turned on Erinsborough’s local police man next week as Roxy Willis (Zima Anderson) dumps Mark Brennan (Scott McGregor) once their relationship turns toxic.
Roxy and Mark have been hooking up for weeks. It was once a secret but after Roxy’s public declaration this week, everyone knows, and although Mark was unhappy at first, they decide to carry on their arrangement. However, Mark pushes Roxy too far next week when he threatens her.
Neighbours Spoilers: Roxy Willis Changes Her Ways
The downward spiral begins next week as Roxy begins to change her wild ways, hoping to build a stronger, more genuine connection with Mark. Upset that Mark isn’t taking her seriously, Roxy begins to dress more conservatively and act more mature on their dates.
As they meet up for a wine tasting event at The 82, it seems like they’re moving from hook up status to real dating. Mark is at first surprised and impressed by the new, more mature Roxy. However, he soon grows irritated as it’s clear she’s just putting on an act. After one too many wines, Mark lets his nasty side come out, insulting Roxy over and over. Chloe Brennan (April Rose Pengilly) disapproves of Mark’s behaviour, but it only gets worse as he later scolds Roxy, telling her that he could never be in a serious relationship with her so she should stop trying so hard.
Neighbours Spoilers: Chloe Brennan Talks Straight To Mark Brennan
As a result, Chloe lets Mark know what she thinks the next day, firmly telling him how horrible and wrong he was the night before. Mark agrees, and hopes that giving Roxy some flowers will get him back in her good books. However, following the wise advice of Sheila Canning and Harlow Robinson, Roxy blindsides Mark by dumping him.
Mark later tells Chloe that after everything that gone on within the last year, he feels lost and doesn’t know what to do. However, he’s quickly shaken out of it when Tyler calls with some bad news – their mum Faye has gone missing.
What’s next for Mark?
