When he spots how close Chloe (April Rose Pengilly) and Kyle (Chris Milligan) are becoming, Paul (Stefan Dennis) becomes concerned. He fears that their relationship would ruin his masterplan of using Kyle to come between his daughter Amy and her fiancé Gary.
Kyle, who is also Amy’s ex, can only pose as a love threat to Gary if he is free, single and readily available for Amy to fall back to. Knowing that Chloe is about to come in the way of this, he offers her a large amount of money to stay away from him.
Next week, Chloe will consider Paul’s offer, knowing that she doesn’t want to waste any time with Kyle anyway if Paul is telling the truth and he still has feelings for Amy. Chloe therefore decides she needs to set up a situation that will test Kyle’s true feelings.
At Amy and Gary’s engagement party Chloe learns that Amy and Kyle used to enjoy hooking up in the laundry room. Knowing this, Chloe manipulates the situation so that Amy catches her and Kyle in the same act. Chloe believes that in doing so she can work out Kyle’s real feelings about her and Amy.
When the plan works, Chloe is surprised to see that, although Kyle was left feeling awkward, he didn’t seem to bother too much. This is further supported when Kyle reassures her that his feelings for Amy are way in the past.
Chloe makes up her mind and wants to keep seeing Kyle but decides to do so in secret so that she can also accept Pauls offer of money.
Is Chloe being too sneaky for her own good?
