But something still isn’t adding up, so Dee and Toadie visit Heather Schilling, Andrea’s mother, to ask further questions. Armed with the proof that her daughter has an identical twin, Toadie confronts Heather and convinces her to be hypnotised to see if she can remember what actually happened on the day she gave birth.
With Toadie and Dr Karl present, Dr Beverly Robinson returns to put Heather under hypnosis and leads her to remember what really happened. Heather believes that she remembers giving birth in hospital, but it turns out that this is a constructed truth and doesn’t bear much resemblance to what actually happened.
It turns that Heather actually gave birth under very traumatic circumstances in a church shelter, helped by a red headed nun who Dee and Andrea both remember from their childhood.
Feeling guilty, the red head, named Sister Grace, catches a flight to Erinsborough to reveal what actually happened on the day that Dee and Andrea were born. It turns out that Heather did give birth to twins, but the nuns gave away one of the babies to a young Bliss couple who were desperate for a child.
