A new trailer teasing the return of Netflix’s popular romance series Bridgerton has been released. After a long wait fans are now being treated to a glimpse at what waits ahead for Penelope Featherington, aka Lady Whistledown.

As Bridgerton fans will recall, Penelope has had a long standing crush on her best friend’s brother, Colin.

The feelings aren’t mutual for Colin until the third Bridgerton returns home for the summer. It seems he’s matured and decides to treat Penelope as a friend.

In the trailer the pair shake on their new platonic relationship with Colin promising to help Penelope find a husband after she declares she needs to move out of her house. As time evolves however, Colin appears to be falling for the woman her once dismissed.

The trailer brings all the romance, social outings, drama, and gossip fans have come to love. Set to appear in the fourth book adaptation of author Julia Quinn’s period drama is Nicola Coughlan as Penelope, Luke Newton as Colin, Claudia Jessie as Eloise Bridgerton, Adjoa Andoh as Agatha, Ruth Gemmell as Violet Bridgerton and more.

Bridgerton Season 3 Spoilers – Welcomes New Cast

Newcomers Daniel Francis (Once Upon a Time) as Marcus Anderson, Sam Phillips (The Crown) as Lord Debling, and James Phoon as Harry Dankworth, have also joined the cast.

With the trailer Netflix has released a brief synopsis of what is to come in terms of storyline. “Colin offers to mentor Penelope in the ways of confidence to help her find a husband this season. But when his lessons start working a little too well, Colin must grapple with whether his feelings for Penelope are truly just friendly.”

The third season of the series will consist of eight episodes. Season 3 will be released in two parts with Part 1 set to premiere on Thursday, May 16. Part 2 will premiere on Thursday, June 13.
