Netflix’s most fashionable girl is going to be returning to our screens soon, and “revenge,” “heartbreaking,” and “armour” are just some of the words the cast has so far used to describe the upcoming season. As we saw in the trailer, Lily Collins‘ Emily Cooper is learning to forge ahead from her failed romances with Alfie (Lucien Laviscount) and Gabriel (Lucas Bravo), but it’s not going to be easy. Psst, she loves both guys “for different reasons.”
When you’re in Paris you do what the French do, or as bestie Mindy (Ashley Park) says, “Don’t overthink it.”
Everything We Know About ”Emily In Paris’ Season 4
Earlier this year, the iconic and often divisive TV show entered production. At the time, Collins shared the happy news with fans on Instagram, writing, “Did someone say Saison Quatre?! Finally reunited with my @emilyinparis fam back in Paris and it feels so good.”
This time around, Emily will be leaving Paris for a little adventure in Italy, or as Collins herself puts it, “Don’t be surprised to find her on a Roman holiday.”
In the spring of 2024, filming wrapped in France and the whole group headed to Italy to shoot the rest of the show. Collins also gushed about it on an Instagram post shared on April 27. “When you’re the first ones on the dance floor at the Paris wrap party,” she wrote, adding, “Next stop: Rome!…”
In the first season, we’re introduced to Emily Cooper – a marketing executive from Chicago who goes in place of her colleague when said colleague discovers that she’s pregnant.
In the following episodes, we see Emily try to assimilate and understand the French culture – like the fact a French guy would be all over you before it’s even thirty minutes (stereotypical?)
In season 3, alongside her romantic life, her career more or less takes center stage; like that time she was temporarily out of work because of some office hijinks.
Anyhow, with the third season ending with multiple cliffhangers, I’m sure fans can’t wait to see the next season and know how everything is going to resolve itself, if it ever could.
“Season 4 is going to be more about navigating complicated relationships: personal relationships and work relationships, and how they come into conflict with each other,” creator Darren Star teased. “Emily is still going to be working with Alfie, Gabriel, and Camille. Those work relationships are really fraught with emotional conflicts.”
The show will be released in two parts, with part one arriving on August 15 and part two on September 12.
