“Bridgerton” – Prequel To Explore the Life Of A Young Queen Charlotte
Lady Whistledown is not even close to revealing all the “Bridgerton” secrets, but we’re learning it little by little.
Queen Charlotte’s spinoff is coming a few years after the movie’s first launch broke several records by becoming the most watched show on Netflix.
The announcement of a young Queen Charlotte show originally came in May 2021, when Netflix shared that a “limited prequel series” will be made about the beloved character’s origin.
However, since then, more details were yet to be released. That is, until now when further news surfaced ahead of Netflix’s Tudum.
“Dearest readers, rejoice in a formal introduction to royalty herself, India Amarteifio, who along with the incomparable duo of Golda Rosheuvel and Adjoa Andoh will reveal the origins of Your Majesty. Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story is on the way, indeed,” Bridgerton’s official Instagram account wrote.
The streaming service described the prequel show, titled “Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story”, as one that will be “centered on Queen Charlotte’s rise to prominence and power, this ‘Bridgerton’-verse prequel tells the story of how the young Queen’s marriage to King George sparked both a great love story and a societal shift, creating the world of the Ton inherited by the characters in ‘Bridgerton.’”
