The Mother: Jennifer Lopez Is The Badass Assassin Whose Daughter Was AbductedThe upcoming Netflix movie titled The Mother is an action drama containing lots of thrilling action scenes, the type that won’t let you leave your seat no matter what’s going on around you until the film ends. It portrays Jennifer Lopez as a loner assassin who gave up her daughter long ago, left the city, and went to live wayy inside the most secluded part of the woods. Lopez had to come out of her hiding when her daughter was kidnapped. According to Variety the film The Mother comes after Lopez signed a multi-year deal with Netflix.

The Mother — Contents Of The Teaser Trailer Of The Mother

The trailer for the movie started off with a breathtaking slow sound that has a fast suspenseful beat and rhythm attached to it in the background followed by a quick view of a female well-toned body doing pushups on the roof of a tree, the scene cuts to show the name “JENNIFER LOPEZ” plastered on the screen as it slowly fades to reveal a heavy snowy mountain surrounded by tall trees. The next scene featured Lopez as the lady doing pushups in some part of the snowy mountain on the roof of a tree that looked like her home as the fast beat keeps playing in the background.

The scene cuts and brings out the word “IS” which as fades slowly to reveal an open box that contains a gun and bullets, it quickly cuts to show Lopez doing some heavy training on a solo in the woods followed by Lopez who looks like she got a comfortable spot to aim and shoot a sniper. The scene quickly cuts to reveal the final words “THE MOTHER.” The next scene shows Lopez saying “She needs protection right now,” it cuts to reveal a very busy city and the moment Lopez’s daughter (played by Lucy Paez) was kidnapped and taken on a run in the middle of a busy road. At this point the slow music has increased together with the tempo of the fast suspenseful beat in the background.

The scene cuts to reveal Lopez who was driving in a frenzy state suddenly applying brakes while trying to dodge from hitting a stump of leaves lurking in the way, next the scene cuts to reveal Lopez and her daughter sitting in a shabby restaurant and Lopez telling her daughter “You saw what was out there,” the scene changes to what appears to be a desert, a scene where Lopez could be seen shooting at something, a voice-over of Lopez could be heard saying “It’s gonna keep coming” followed by a rush of vehicles and Lopez sprinting through traffic.

The next scene shows Lopez riding a bike on speed with her daughter at the back holding onto Lopez tightly, a voice-over of Lopez could be heard saying “If there’s trouble” followed by a scene that features Lopez looking all badass as she jumped off the edge of a building, the next scene went back to featuring the thick snowy mountain full of tall trees where Lopez lives, a quick view of Joseph Fiennes one of the assailants was shown in the snowy mountain, and a body form positioned on top of a service provider ready to shoot on sight was seen.

Next was the voice-over of Lopez saying “come find me” as walks away, stops to make a quick look at the camera while the screen fades to black.

The Netflix film The Mother is in collaboration with Nuyorican Productions which is owned by Jennifer Lopez, the director of the film is Niki Caro a New Zealand film director and screenwriter who has directed movies like Whale Rider (2002), North Country (2005), Mulan (2020), etc. The film features a cast of Lucy Paez who has starred in movies like “Silencio (2018),” “Barb and Star Go to Vista Del Mar (2021),” and Joseph Fiennes who has starred in movies like “Killing Me Softly (2002),” “Risen (2016)” “The Handmaid’s Tale (2017).”

According to Variety, a statement was released by the Netflix head of global films at the time of its collaboration with Nuyorican Productions, the statement reads: “Throughout every aspect of her career, Jennifer Lopez has been a force in entertainment. In partnering with her and Nuyorican, we know she will continue to bring impactful stories, joy and inspiration to audiences around the world.”

The Mother is scheduled to be out by next year, May 2023 to the precise.
