Joining the already impressive cast of ‘Wednesday’ are ‘Westworld’ and ‘Mission Impossible 2’ star Thandiwe Newton and ‘Fargo’ actor Steve Buscemi, per a report by Variety.

At the moment, their roles in the hit show are yet to be revealed and reps for both stars have declined to comment.

I know it’s frustrating, especially since we’ve been looking forward to even a shred of ‘Wednesday’ following its 2022 release on Netflix. The Tim Burton-show quickly gained a global audience, driving forward a cultural phenomenon that saw people want to look and dance like Wednesday.

Its opening week amassed 341.2 million hours of viewing worldwide, beating a record previously set by the fourth season of ‘Stranger Things.’

Two years later – thank you double Hollywood strikes (not!) – we’re yet to get even a release date. However, this much we can satisfy ourselves with: the show has entered production in Ireland.

Season 1 was mostly shot in Romania, but for logistical reasons, they changed location. Let’s just put the craving for season 2 down to the fact they ended the first one on a cliffhanger.
