Are ‘90 Day Fiance’ Stars Going Broke? Their Paycheck Revealed!

Are ‘90 Day Fiance’ Stars Going Broke? Their Paycheck Revealed!“90 Day Fiance” alum Danielle Jbali raised eyebrows when she recently set up a GoFundMe account, confessing to being broke. Now, reports of other former cast members asking fans for money in exchange for autographs and video greetings have surfaced. Just how much do “90 Day Fiance” stars get from the show, and why are many of them seemingly strapped for cash?

According to RadarOnline, “90 Day Fiance” pays their cast members between $1,000 to $1,500 per episode, with an additional $2,500 for the Tell-All special. Appearing on spin-off shows such as “Before the 90 Days” reportedly pays less, around $500 to $1,000 per episode. Moreover, the salary only goes only to the American partner, since the foreign fiance technically couldn’t work without a legal permit.

“They can’t even get paid because they have to wait for a work permit. It’s, of course, different if filming takes place in their county,” the source revealed.

At around 10 episodes per season, a cast member could get at least $15,000 for appearing on the show. For the likes of Danielle Jbali, however, this figure isn’t enough to make ends meet. Since being on Season 2 and two spin-offs, the 45-year-old mom-of-three invested in a trailer home, nursing school, and other expenses.

On top of everything, she had to pay legal fees so she could divorce Mohamed Jbali. Whatever she earned from the show is now gone, as she is currently selling signed photos and asking money at a crowd-funding site.

According to Radar and The Cheat Sheet, other former cast members have also been trying to earn money from their “90 Day Fiance” fame. Season 4 star Nicole Nafgizer, Season 5 alum David Toborowsky, and “Before the 90 Days” star Jon Walters are reportedly charging fans $30 for personalized video messages on Cameo.

Nicole, who is engaged to Morrocan-based Azan, also works as a barista at Starbucks. Latest reports suggest that Azan still couldn’t get his U.S. visa approved, and Nicole has been shouldering all his application fees. Meanwhile, David Toborowsky has always been honest about his lack of finances. He is said to be working on a YouTube channel, where he and his Thai wife Annie will be showing viewers how to cook Thai food.

Despite its stars’ financial woes, the “90 Day Fiance” is reportedly the highest-rated show on TLC’s Sunday slot. And with multiple spin-offs to its name, it is also one of the most successful franchises of the network.

Wow. They are being robbed. Why isn’t there some form of equity in their contracts?
