But it seems Josh couldn’t escape the law as a report recently surfaced, pointing to his illegal business dealings this time around. According to Radar Online, the 30-year-old Duggar son has been managing Wholesale Motorcars, a used car lot in his home state. While it sounds like a decent job for the father of five, it turns out that Josh may not have the proper permits to run his car business.
A Washington County official told Radar that Josh’s property does not fall under the commercial zoning category, so he is not legally allowed to operate as a business unless he obtains a “conditional use permit.”
Additionally, officials discovered that Josh’s building facilities are sub-standard. They cited that the office does not have a single smoke detector within its premises, a proper fire lane, and the minimum 20-foot driveway, among other violations. Reportedly, authorities gave the former reality star three 90-day notices before he even acted upon it.
“The fire marshal wasn’t going to issue any more extensions. He was requiring that Josh make a good faith attempt, or make effort, toward receiving a review and permit approval, so that’s what he did,” the officer stated.

Despite his run-ins with the law, Josh’s wife Anna has faithfully stuck by his side. The couple has five young children and is rumored to be expecting their sixth. While Josh has not been seen on TV since his child molestation charges, Anna makes occasional appearances on “Counting On” with other Duggar family members. The TLC-produced show is a spin-off of “19 Kids and Counting.” It focuses on Jim Bob and Michelle’s grown children as they start their own families.
