During the first season, there were two major revelations that were made: Dr. Aaron Glassman (Richard Schiff) has cancer and that his mentor, Dr. Murphy, had made a major mistake in a surgery. The season ended with a cliffhanger, with both men trying to admit their mistake to Dr. Marcus Andrews. (Hill Harper) They knew that their jobs – and ultimately their future – were in jeopardy.
And while it looks like both doctors still have their jobs in Season 2, tensions are as high as ever. In a new teaser trailer, Glassman can be seen telling newcomer oncologist Dr. Blaze, “If you think I’m going to sit around and watch, you’re mistaken!”
Things have changed for Dr. Murphy as well. He’s much more frustrated, especially now that Andrews has taken over leadership of the hospital and is cutting him absolutely no slack. “I was honest; it just made it worse,”
Murphy says in the trailer. To make matters worse, this season will see Dr. Murphy in the hot seat after his proposed treatment for a homeless patient puts him and Jared in some major trouble with Andrew!
