Specifically, Shkreli “claimed that he and Barron Trump are behind a mysterious new Trump-branded cryptocurrency.” Here’s what’s really going on.
Barron Trump – Follows In His Father’s Footsteps?
According to NY Mag, “A Trump-themed memecoin was registered on the Solana blockchain platform earlier this week.”
Afterward the coin’s value rose by nearly 400 percent, creating over $350 million in trading volume, reportedly based in part on the statement that Donald Trump’s teenage son was behind it.”
Later, The New Republic reported that “Arkham Intelligence, a data analytics firm, promised a $150 thousand bounty to anyone who discovered who was behind the asset.
Within hours, blockchain sleuth ZachXBT posted a series of screenshots to X, formerly Twitter, claiming that he’d cracked it: The token was invented by the infamous “Pharma Bro” himself …”
Apparently Shkreli sent some DMs to ZachXBT taking credit, along with Barron, for the coin: “I have over 1000 pieces of evidence, I created it with Barron.”
Barron Trump’s – Teen Life
Then, during a live X Space event on Wednesday, Pharma Bro Shkreli stated that a friend of Barron’s approached him with the idea and the teen is “on the 40-to-50-person team behind the coin.”
Shkreli said he’s advised Barron on colleges: “We’re friends; he wants to make money.” One thing is for certain, and that is that Melania is not afraid to set the record straight where her son is concerned.
When it was announced that Barron would nominate his father at next month’s RNC convention in Wisconsin, she immediately issued a statement rubbishing the idea, claiming that he would do no such thing.
Much has been made about the tight relationship between Melania and her only child; should we expect her to deny his involvement with Pharma Bro if the convict’s statement are untrue?
Melania And Barron Trump – Are Thick As Thieves
NY Mag clarifies that “It’s unclear what’s actually going on here, and not just because the whole crypto world is fairly shady and confusing.
Shkreli has yet to produce any of these “1,000 pieces of evidence” that prove Barron’s involvement. And he’s not the most trustworthy source.”
The former pharmaceuticals CEO has done his time however, serving six years in federal prison for securities fraud, a sentence that begin in 2017.
Tell us Trump family fans, what do you make of all this controversy—does it just run in Barron’s genes?
