Trump says Governor Tim Walz once called him and asked if he could send out a tweet because protesters surrounded his house with American flags.

“I said, ‘Is that a good thing or a bad thing?'”
“He said, ‘I think they’re gonna attack me.’ They were MAGA people.”
“He said, ‘Could you put out a word like that I’m your friend?’ I don’t even know him. But that’s the only time I ever spoke to him.”
Donald Trump Was Asked To Help Tim Walz During A Dark Hour
“I put out a statement. ‘He’s a good man. The governor, he’s on our side.’ I didn’t know him, but I didn’t want him to get hurt. And everybody put down their flags and they left.”
Some fans and critics alike commented on the matter on social media.
They said, “Walz is very weak and demonstrates several odd tendencies. Is his marriage just a show?”
“Tim Walz is scared of the American flag. If they were communist flags, he would have been okay.”
Another critic wrote, “That was hilarious… I’m afraid of these scary American flags. Trump wants his opponents to be safe while they have tried to kill him 3 times!”
And then there was this comment as well: “Trump’s recounting of his conversation with Governor Tim Walz highlights a moment of political tension, particularly with the mention of protesters surrounding Walz’s house.”
“This anecdote illustrates the complexities of political relationships, especially in times of conflict. It also reflects how public figures can influence situations, even if their connections are limited.”
“The details provide insight into the dynamics between Trump and various state leaders.”
