Former President Joe Biden has been diagnosed with cancer, and many people have reached out to the family. Donald Trump also sent a message to his political rival. Read on to find out more.
The Cancer Is Aggressive
The news that Dr. Jill Biden’s husband was ill arrived via a press statement from his team. Unfortunately, it was found in his “prostate,” and with “metastasis to the bone.” The 82-year-old appeared unwell on occasion, but it’s not known if his cancer was responsible for that. More recently, he had some urinary problems that led to the new diagnosis

The statement continued with:
While this represents a more aggressive form of the disease, the cancer appears to be hormone-sensitive which allows for effective management. The President and his family are reviewing treatment options with his physicians.
Donald Trump Responded Online
The current president sent a message about the news out to his followers on Truth Social. Sticking to protocol, he didn’t wish any worse news on Joe. Instead, he wrote, “Melania and I are saddened to hear about Joe Biden’s recent medical diagnosis. We extend our warmest and best wishes to Jill and the family, and we wish Joe a fast and successful recovery.”

Other politicians also responded, and Deadline cited Former President Obama as saying, “Michelle and I are thinking of the entire Biden family. Nobody has done more to find breakthrough treatments for cancer in all its forms than Joe, and I am certain he will fight this challenge with his trademark resolve and grace. We pray for a fast and full recovery.”
Bill & Hillary Clinton Respond
The Clintons both referred to the work done by the Biden Administration to advance cancer cures. On X, Hillary also said that she wishes Joe “a speedy, full recovery.” Meanwhile, Bill called Joe his “friend,” lending a less formal tone to his message.
From California’s Governor Newsom, a message about “strength” also talked about how Joe “deserves to live a long and beautiful life.”
Plenty of other people from both sides of the political spectrum mentioned the cancer news. They included Hakeem Jeffries, Jasmine Crockett, Pete Buttigieg, and many more.
The South African President, Cyril Ramaphosa, hasn’t made any official statement yet. However, when the news broke, he was on his way to the USA for an official visit with President Trump.
Probably, as the news only just broke, reactions from European and other international leaders will emerge soon.
