According to the latest reports, Canadian PM Justin Trudeau says he had a “good” call with Trump after the president-elect vowed to slap 25% tariffs on Canada and Mexico.

The comment comes as Mexico’s president Claudia Sheinbaum also scrambled to contact Trump as well.

If that weren’t enough, Trudeau not only said the call was good but said he was confident that the US and Canada could work together in “constructive ways.”

It goes without saying that the internet certainly has had a lot to say about the matter.

What’s Next For Donald Trump And His Administration?

Some comments on social media have included, “Trump knows how to get people to the table. He’s going to figure all this out and get things back in line. And probably a lot faster than in 2016. He has the experience now to know who to trust and who to put in charge of things.”

“Interesting how quickly attitudes change when we actually have strength returning to the White House.”

Another critic wrote, “Trudeau is that type of truly dangerous leader where his bereft of any actual morals, and stunningly unintelligent. His antics with the Trucker Protest alone should’ve resulted in imprisonment.”

“This is why many Canadians were rooting for Trump. He’s already bringing sanity back to the world.”

And then there was this comment as well: “Trudeau is in panic-mode. This, along with having to admit that his border policy has been disastrous … it’s looking more & more like Pierre will be taking his position.”
