Some major power players in the world of entertainment have been coming out in support of Democratic nominee for the White House, Kamala Harris. But some of the appearances have been raising eyebrows at the same time.

According to the latest reports, pop star Lizzo campaigns for Kamala Harris in Detroit, Michigan, randomly starts singing into the microphone. 

Lizzo also suggested that if Kamala wins, the whole country will be like Detroit. She said, “I’m so happy to be back in Detroit. You know, all the best things were made in Detroit.”

“Put some respect on Detroit’s name. Okay. I’m proud to say that I voted for Kamala Harris… You can’t hear me?”

If that weren’t enough, she also belted out a tune. She sang in front of the crowd, “Turn me up. Turn up the music. Turn down the light. I got a feeling. Can y’all hear me? Alright?”

What’s Next For Kamala Harris And Her Campaign?

Many fans and critics on both sides of the aisle certainly had a lot to say about the matter on social media.

Some commented with, “Nobody wants anything to look like Detroit. These democrats have destroyed the greatest cities ever. New York, Chicago LA, St. Louis.”

“No offense to the people of Detroit, but we’re trying to avoid letting all of the United States become like 2024 Detroit.”

Another critic wrote, “Pop stars like Lizzo may be excited to campaign for Kamala Harris, but not everyone sees Detroit as the model for the rest of the country.”

“Under Trump, we saw a stronger economy, more jobs, and greater opportunity for cities across the U.S., not just one. Instead of flashy performances, Americans want real results.”
