According to new reports, former First Lady Michelle Obama spotted promoting her new drink at Costco. She was seen at a Livermore Costco in California promoting the zero-calorie Plezi Fizz drink.

Obama is the co-founder and strategic partner of the beverage company. “This is a healthy drink,” she was heard saying.

It’s also been noted that just last month during the DNC, Obama bragged about how her mother used to tell her that she was “suspicious of folks who took more than they needed.”

This, despite the fact  that Michelle and her husband Barack Obama are worth millions.

What’s Next For Michelle Obama?

It goes without saying that the internet sure did have a lot to say about the matter.

Some even commented with, “I don’t understand why these celebrities hawk all these random products. She has unlimited money, she’s been the First Lady – why sell drinks in Costco?”

“When a former First Lady is hawking soft drinks at Costco, we’ve hit a new low.”

Another critic wrote, “This drink is diluted juice concentrate with monk fruit. I wouldn’t recommend this as a healthy drink and I’m a registered dietitian. Overhyped and overpriced.”

“Michelle Obama marketing fad drinks at Costco is exactly where I thought Michelle would end up.”

And then there was this comment as well: “It’s incredibly difficult for an entrepreneur to get their products into Costco and here is Big Mike muscling in her soda. Do they not have enough money already?”

“That drink probably tastes as bad as her school lunches did, it’s processed flavored water and since they are already worth $70 million isn’t that more than their share? Who determines how much is too much?”

So far Michelle Obama herself has not made any comments about the criticism she’s received, although at this point it’s doubtful that anything will be said. Watch this space.
