Perky in a pink leather jacket, Amy posed for a new TikTok video that focused on how much weight she has lost. However, like her sister Tammy Slaton, Amy did spark a backlash for insisting on using filters.

Fans have asked both stars of 1000-Lb Sisters to show their bodies and faces without the sometimes-deceptive filters.

However, in her personal life, Amy has struggled. And her split from her husband Michael Halterman, 40, caused challenges. But in March, Michael filed for divorce. 

And Amy filed domestic violence claims against her former spouse. But though she then dropped the charges, the star of 1000-Lb Sisters alleged that Michael behaved in a way that seemed “mentally abusive. He’s very controlling.”

And Amy recalled, “The night of 2/24/23 he got mad that I went to take the kids with my sister to eat.” The 1000-Lb Sisters star then described her estranged spouse as “too violent” around their children. Michael and Amy share two sons. Gage is just 2 years old, and Glenn is only 1 year old.

But Amy described her concerns about how her estranged husband disciplined the little boys. And the 1000-Lb Sisters star alleged, “When disciplining the boys he hits too hard. He pulls them by the arm.” However, she also expressed her views on child support.

And Amy claimed that Michael refused to give her money for their youngest son. But she added, “He makes me do everything with the house, boys, and has no job.” However, Michael denied all of Amy’s claims of domestic violence.
