1000 Lb. Sisters Amy opened up about Little Bit’s death after taking some time to let the news sink in. What happened to Amy’s beloved pooch? Amy’s dog lived to a ripe old age of 22 years. For a dog, that is a very long life. Amy shared the news of Little Bit’s passing on her Instagram page complete with a photo of her favorite pet.

Fans were quick to offer messages of comfort speaking of treats over the rainbow bridge and how Amy would always have a guardian angel. Of course, comments were made about Little Bit’s long life and how happy Amy had made her life. Then one fan asked Amy what happened to the lovable little dog.

1000 Lb. Sisters star Amy directly addressed that comment on what happened to Little Bit offering fans an insight into the situation. Amy reveals that five days ago, Little Bit wasn’t feeling well and they took her to the vet. Amy was expecting to get medication for allergies but got very different news. Amy says when the doctor did an x-ray and blood work, it came back that Little Bit had severe lung cancer. Amy says they brought Little Bit home on medication to keep her comfortable. However, Amy gave Little Bit a long and happy life with a loving family and no one could ask for more than that.

1000 Lb. Sisters Amy may have lost her dog but she has plenty to keep her occupied. Amy is expecting a baby soon and preparing to be a mother of two offers a distraction. Of course, Amy keeps fans up to date on her pregnancy and the milestones in Gage Halterman’s life as well. Things seem to be going well as Amy prepares to transition to being a mother of two. Unfortunately, Little Bit won’t get to meet the new baby when he arrives.

Now that Little Bit is gone Amy has lost a great friend and companion. Amy was lucky to have Little Bit for 22 years. Rest in peace Little Bit, the fans will miss you.
