Reality TV stars are not A-listers, but some famous faces started as minor stars on TV. Or, early in their careers, they participated in reality TV. For example, did you know that Stephen Colbert, now associated with CBS’s The Late Show appeared on Whose Line Is It Anyway in the 1990s? Elisabeth Hasselbeck Started In Reality TV
Elizabeth Hasselbeck wasn’t known until 2001. Before that, she worked for a big company. But, she got her chance at fame when she appeared on Survivor Season 2. Fans of the show will remember that she was gutsy and played a solid game.
Although she didn’t win, she went on to become a familiar conservative face on The View. She started off in 2003 and lasted 10 years before moving on to Fox and Friends. She once said that Survivor gave her the edge in her career and took her life in a completely different direction.
Meghan Markle On Deal or No Deal?
Meghan Markle, now married to Prince Harry didn’t launch her TV career through Deal or No Deal? But, it did help her resume. In Season 2 of the NBC show, she was a briefcase girl.
Of course, Meghan Markle moved on from Reality TV and went into drama and role acting: something she still seems to do according to her critics. Not bad for someone who worked as “a freelance calligrapher in between acting jobs.”
Lady Gaga Was On Two Reality TV Shows
Lady Gaga? Well, yes, Lady Gaga, according to Cosmopolitan was on a few Reality TV shows. The outlet noted:
Didn’t know Lady Gaga got her start on reality TV? Well, ya do now. Not only was she on an episode of The Hills, Gaga was also on an MTV show called Boiling Points.
It is old history now, but certainly, she might inspire the younger generation who appear on reality TV.
Britney Spears Was On TV Before She Became Famous
Years before she released her first album, the now-famous singer, Britney Spears appeared on a show called Star Search.
That led to Britney Spears being on The New Mickey Mouse Club, according to Marie Claire. Actually, it’s interesting to note that fellow musician, Beyoncé also got her start on Star Search.
