If anyone knows why 90 Day Fiance gets so crazy sometimes, it’s the show’s host Shaun Robinson. And the 61-year-old 90 Day Fiance host summed up the reason as the couples not communicating prior to tying the knot. “They didn’t always communicate well before they got married just to ask the basics,” pointed out Shaun to People. 

And based on what the 90 Day Fiance host has observed, couples fail to “ask the basics. And that’s probably why there’s so much wild things that go on,” Shaun added. “Because they just didn’t talk about all the things they needed to talk about before … they said, ‘I do’.”

For instance, the 90 Day Fiance host has seen couples neglecting to ask each other if they want to welcome children into their lives. And it shocks her when, after dating for three years, the duos finally remember to discuss key issues such as parenting and religion.

Robinson also reflected on the most dramatic moments on the show. And she listed Danielle Mullins “presenting” Mohamed Jbali with annulment papers as well as Angela Deem “flashing” to the camera. But the “walk-offs and people storming off” also make Shaun’s’ list of top dramatic moments.

However, then Shaun teased what viewers can look forward to. “And we just did another tell all. I can’t wait until you see it. It is just absolutely bananas,” she hinted. “I mean, it’s crazy. It’s really crazy. But here’s the thing: These people are really passionate.”

However, Robinson takes pride in what makes the show so unique. And she noted, “Of all the dating shows on TV, the show puts the couples together. [90 Day Fiancé] is the only one that I know of where the couples are actually in the relationship before they even come on the show.”

As a result, Shaun appreciates the truths that got told. “And so there’s this authenticity,” she shared. “As crazy as they are sometimes, there’s an authenticity about their relationships.”

But above all, the 90 Day Fiance host appreciates the show because it has become “a lot of fun,” she commented. “And I really had to lean into it when I first started because when they first showed me the tape or real clips of the show, I was thinking to myself… ‘Oh, this probably will go on a couple seasons. It probably won’t be around that long’.”

However, Shaun happily realizes that she guessed wrong. “And it kept going. And it kept going. You’re adding another spinoff? You mean they have 12 spinoffs now?” she marveled. And the 90 Day Fiance host shared that she receives “DMs from Morocco, Nigeria, Spain, Italy, literally… Oh, the Netherlands. I get DMs from all over the world of people watching the show. It’s crazy.”
