ABC wants to resume filming for The Bachelorette as soon as possible. During a recent appearance on Chicks in the Office podcast, Robert Mills, head of alternative programming for ABC, revealed what’s happening with Clare Crawley’s upcoming season.

The Bachelorette Spoilers – ABC Recasting Men

Last month, Clare was announced as the next lead of The Bachelorette. On March 11, ABC announced the contestants for Season 16, which was originally expected to debut in May. Production was shut down due to the coronavirus pandemic. Host Chris Harrison said that ABC is recasting men who are closer in age to the 39-year-old star. Now the network is in a race to get the show running as soon as possible, according to E! News.

“We talk about it every day. Obviously, it’s super important,” Mills said on The Bachelorette. “Look, I’ll be honest: We will do it as soon as it is safe… We want to get it on the first minute we possibly can.”

Mills said that discussions are taking place. There will be more plans when they start testing contestants. Once they confirm the health of the cast and crew, travel arrangements will be made. No concrete plans have been made.

“A lot of that just changes daily,” Mills said. “We will figure out how to get some version that reflects the world we’re in as quickly as possible.”

An ad that aired during The Bachelor Presents: Listen to Your Heart said, “We’re looking for men to date our new bachelorette, Clare Crawley. To nominate someone or to apply, go to ABC.com/casting,” according to Heavy.

The Bachelorette no longer has the previous cast posted. The Facebook Page has also removed the previous cast photos. It appears that ABC is recasting men for Clare’s season. However, they did not make an official announcement about this matter.

The Bachelorette Spoilers – Everything Taking Place At One Resort

It’s possible that the show will recast men closer to Clare’s age during this time. ABC is also looking to film at a contained site, such as a resort. The plan is to film for five weeks in July and August, with the entire cast and crew tested for COVID-19 before they arrive. Everyone, including production, will be on lockdown during that duration. No one gets to leave the premises.

All the travel and premises would take place at one resort. That means no hometown dates or international trips. The eliminated men will also have to stay on the premises. So, that will make for an interesting season. Or, it could make for a boring one since there will be no change in scenery.

I can’t wait to see the first episode of the New Bachelorette. I hope that Clare Crawleys men will be closer to her ages and not in their early 20 .
