Real Housewives Spoilers – Paula Abdul Dishes On Reality TV Role

American Idol alum Paula Abdul just spilled some tea on an unexpected invitation. And she told Page Six that Bravo has actually invited her on numerous occasions to join the cast of the Real Housewives show. But Paula played it cool, declining to make a commitment at this point in time.

“I’ve been asked many, many times,” revealed the 60-year-old Grammy winner. Abdul reflected on the possibility of joining the Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills (RHOBH) during her attendance at the recent Homeless Not Toothless Hollywood Gala. And some RHOBH stars joined her at the gala, with cameras filming the 13th season of Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills.

However, Paula teased the possibility of joining the Real Housewives in a different city. And she revealed that although RHOBH ranks as the top contender, she received offers from “some other franchises, too. I’m not gonna tell you” which ones, though, the American Idol alum added coyly.

American Idol Alum Paula Abdul Ranks As Bravo’s ‘Biggest Fan’

But Paula’s love for watching Bravo reality TV shows may suffice for now. However, she admitted that she seems like a natural and authentic addition to the cast. Abdul pointed out that she has become “friends with a lot of the women.” And she cherishes those long-term friendships. But relaxing at home as a viewer offers its own joys.

“As much as I am absolutely the biggest fan and I love watching, it’s a lot of drama,” pointed out the American Idol alum. However, Paula admitted that she knows how it feels to clash with co-stars. For instance, Abdul famously argued with Simon Cowell on American Idol. Or as Paula joked, “The guy that [used to sit] next to [her] that starts with a ‘Si’ and ends with a ‘mon.’”

But while Abdul got experience bickering with Simon Cowell, she debated over whether those same debate skills could translate over to Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills. For instance, RHOBH stars and sisters Kathy Hilton, Kyle Richards and Kim Richards have famously feuded off and on for years. And that makes the American Idol alum nervous.

The famous sisters “have their own dynamics,” pointed out Paula. “And they’re so great in front of the camera,” she praised. Abdul noted that Kathy, Kyle, and Kim manage to know that the RHOBH crew films them. But then they “also completely forget the camera is there and just being real,” she added.
