Amy Slaton Takes Plea Deal On Drug Charges

This week, 1000-LB Sisters star Amy Slaton appeared in court in Crockett County, Tennessee. She took a plea deal relating to her arrest in September. Read on for more details about the TLC star’s punishment for possessing drugs and alleged child endangerment.

TLC Star Amy Slaton Bitten Then Arrested

What started out as a fun day for the 1000-LB Sisters mom turned into a disaster after she was allegedly bitten by a camel at a Tennessee Zoo and Safari Park. After EMTs attended to her, the cop turned up and she and her boyfriend, Brian Scott Lovvorne were arrested after drugs were found in the car.

Amy Slaton was charged with alleged child endangerment against Gage and Glenn. About a week later, she appeared in court and pleaded not guilty. Well, TLC fans were skeptical, to say the least. Her next court date was set for December, and now she has taken a plea deal. 

Amy Slaton Takes A Plea Deal

The Sun US reported on December 19, that the TLC star got the child endangerment charges dropped. However, as part of her punishment, she will need to “complete parenting classes.” On the schedule I and IV drug charges, she pleaded guilty to “two counts of simple possession.”

1000-LB Sisters star Amy Slaton ended up with a suspended sentence of “11 month[s] and 29 day[s] supervised probation.” Furthermore, she will need to “complete an alcohol and drug assessment.” Needless to say, visiting the safari park is off the can-do list. 

Child Endangerment Charges Discussed 

TLC fans took to Reddit to discuss the outcome for Amy Slaton. While they talked about the drugs, they also focused on the kids. Here are some of their reactions:

• Matter of time & she’ll drag the absolute wrong guy home, as well as CPS taking those boys.
• The guys are all losers/weirdos. One of them is going to scar those kids or kid for life…
• Re those boys. They’re already messed up, and what you describe will just frost their f–king cakes. She’s too stupid to comprehend this.
• All those years, she complained about not being able to have kids and look at her now. The family should get her into a rehab before things get worse and the kids get taken.
• Honestly annoyed they dropped the child part of the charges because this woman has been neglectful as f–k ever since having these kids
