Baylen Out Loud premieres Season 3 on TLC on May 19, but is it worth watching? So many of the network’s shows either seem plain weird, or so done to death, that folks get confused. Here’s looking at you, 90 Day Fiance. Read on to find out what makes the newer show interesting.
Shows That Started Out Online
Like 1000-Lb Sisters and My Big Fat Fabulous Life, Baylen Out Loud was also spawned by an online presence. Remember, Amy and Tammy Slaton started off getting followers on YouTube, and it was their Chubby Bunny Challenge that really got them noticed.
Then, in the case of My Big Fat Fabulous Life, it was Whitney Way Thore and the Fat Girl Dancing videos on YouTube that got attention big enough for TLC to start her long-running show. But even though they had tons of followers, Baylen Dooley (nee Dupree) had many more subscribers on TikTok.
A Huge TikTok Influencer

Baylen Dupree-Dooley, as an influencer on TikTok racked up millions of followers. So, TLC found a built in audience. Season 1 premiered in January last year, and interest was high because of how well it documented her struggles with Tourette Syndrome.
It seems that what captivated her audience was the fact that she struggles with tics and a stage of the syndrome that makes sufferers often say some very inappropriate things. In Season 1 of Baylen Out Loud, fans saw Baylen Dupree’s life with verbal tics, and how she and her family cope with it.
Plus, they met her boyfriend, Colin Dooley, who at the time, was serving in the US Airforce. At the Tic-Con event in Dallas, Texas, she announced that she and Colin were getting engaged. And, they planned to move in together.
The Second Season
Season 2 brought a lot of changes because Dooley left the airforce and started lookng for work in real estate. Meanwhile Baylen Dupree and her fiancé, started planning a wedding as they got settled into cohabitation.

There were the usual tense scenes with family members like Allen, Baylen’s dad. There was some marriage counseling and learning to budget as a couple. Plus, she needed to overcome a fear of flying for a planned visit to get help with a new device on the market to control her tics.
What To Expect In Season 3
Per Parade, in Season 3 of Baylen Out Loud, they go hard on the wedding storyline. There are shopping expeditions, and obscurely, a bunch of pups in little cars. Baylen’s sister Julie seems to be the focus of family drama this time around.
However, it seems that overall it’s a happy story because Baylen quipped in the trailer, “I’ve never felt more like myself in a long time. It’s been really, really nice to, like, get my spark back…”
Is It Worth Watching?
Judging by the comments iunder the TLC trailer, it sure seems that folks enjoy watching the reality TV show. One person wrote, “So excited for the new season❤Great job Baylen !! I hope you are seeing 👀 🙂 all of our comments! We love you and Colin! We love your family 🎉 congratulations.”
Here are a few more responses from the discussion:
- I’m so glad they’re still together!
- I’m so happy this my favorite show of all time.
- Baylen out loud is awesome can’t wait for the new season.
- love this show.
However, not everyone thinks it’s good. One critic opined:
All it is is making fun & degrading tourettes victims, & other disabilities. People are stupid enough to watch her show just for laughs. Disgusting. They just want to see if she fake swears at her wedding. ( just for laughs).
Another critic wrote, “Baylen is all about the money. Greedy. Colin got out of the Military. Seeking real estate job. He will most likely end up living off Baylens money.”
Hate Watching Is Still Currency
The funny thing about reality TV and popularity, is that so often, people hate watch. And that puts money in the bank for all involved.
