Below Deck Down Under: Captain Jason Chambers Reveals Sex Scandal Impact

Below Deck Down Under shocked viewers amid the most recent season in showing a horrifying attempt at sexual assault. And Captain Jason Chambers has now shared the impact of that scandal.

Below Deck Spoilers – Captain Jason Chambers Acts Quickly!

When Captain Jason Chambers first climbed on board Below Deck Down Under, Bravo fans quickly turned him into a fan fave. And Chambers proved he deserved that honor with his quick actions on season two of Below Deck Down Under.

The now-infamous scandal began when a crew member attempted to join a co-worker in her bed without her consent. And as soon as Captain Jason learned what happened, he promptly removed the crew member who attempted the move. But Chambers also fired a Below Deck Down Under star who defended the aggressor’s actions.

And in a new interview with Us, the Below Deck Down Under captain revealed the aftermath. “I honestly spent hours and hours every day replying back to people because there were so many that had a story to tell [after watching the episode],” shared Jason. And he added, “This actually brought to light a hell of a lot. The amount of feedback that came to me [made me feel] overwhelmed.”

Below Deck Spoilers – Breaking The Fourth Wall

The scandal began when Below Deck Down Under’s Luke Jones walked into his co-worker Margot Sisson‘s room naked. However, the Bravo TV production team halted Luke. And that led to both Captain Jason and chief stew Aesha Scott taking action.

But in addition to firing Luke, Jason dismissed second stew Laura Bileskaline for pointedly supporting Jones as well as making undesired advances toward her co-worker Adam Kodra. And the situation resulted in praise for production for breaking the fourth wall to protect a reality TV star as well as admiration for both Jason and Aesha. 

But the Below Deck Down Under captain made sure to praise everyone involved. And Jason shared, “Obviously I’m not going to be able to do what I do without my team around me. What we do — and definitely what production does behind the scenes — it really always amazes me.” And the Below Deck star revealed that a significant amount of work “goes into it.”

However, Jason explained his own role. “As a yacht captain, I know what logistics are. And I do a hell of a lot of it.” But he praised the production team for going “behind the scenes while allowing me to do my job and not interfere with me. It is quite amazing. This show has come about over a decade [on air] now and they really showcase how we operate a boat and crew.”
