Below Deck Spoilers – ‘Dream Team’ Becomes Love Triangle

Gary King and Daisy Kelliher have sustained one of the most unusual reality TV show relationships for several seasons on Below Deck Sailing Yacht. Because though the two have repeatedly clashed over their duties as department heads, they also occasionally enjoy some flirty fun. However, to the shock of Gary, Daisy and Colin MacRae hook up on this season of Below Deck Sailing Yacht. And Captain Glenn Shephard admitted he felt shocked too. “There’s some interesting stuff going on there between the department heads,” noted Shephard to Showbiz Cheat Sheet.

However, Captain Glenn also noted that Gary, Daisy, and Colin appreciate one another. And he feels their affection remains true despite the clashes between exterior department head Gary and interior department head Daisy. “But there’s so much love between those people. Those guys, I call them the Dream Team, Gary, Daisy, Colin. We’ve done this for a few seasons now,” commented Shephard.

And he expressed appreciation for the trio as “great people. They love each other. And tune in and you’ll see some very interesting stuff. I can’t say too much about it,” added Captain Glenn about teasing future episodes. “But, yeah, I was a little surprised.” And he admitted that he sometimes discovers more watching the episodes than in real time. “But I’ll say I’m aware of it,” added Shephard about Colin and Daisy hooking up.

Captain Glenn also pointed out that he has become a friend to some of the crew as well as their captain. “And you could say things and not as much as a captain,” he noted. “But as a friend, you may want to say something. And wow, you know, but what can you say? People are people. People love who they love. They work together, spend a lot of time together and things happen.” 

And Daisy also offered some hints about what to expect this season on Below Deck Sailing Yacht. Kelliher told fans to prepare for “a lot of making out [and] there’s a lot of fighting and jealousy.” And she admitted that the love triangle created some problems. “It probably brought out the worst in a lot of people.”

However, the situation also resulted in Below Deck Sailing Yacht revealing “a different side to some of us. But yeah, that’s normal life,” added Daisy. “And it’s expected. It’s going to make for so much entertaining TV, that’s for sure.”

But the drama sometimes seems more like a soap opera than a reality TV show. For instance, Gary comes up with a bizarre theory that Daisy hooked up just to get back at him. And he confronts Kelliher about canoodling with Colin. “You know you like me, deep down,” King tells Kelliher. “And I feel you’re hooking up to get back at me. Spitefully hooking up.”

But despite those accusations, Daisy shared that she remained friends with both Gary and Colin. And she also promised that viewers can look forward to a fun season. “I think work-wise with the boat drama [and with] all the relationships and hookups, I honestly don’t think there’s going to be an episode where people aren’t going to be wondering what’s going to happen next,” she added.
