Below Deck Spoilers — Gary Admits Failure
Season three of Below Deck Sailing Yacht showed first mate Gary King canoodling with chief stew Daisy Kelliher. But season four reveals how that makeup session resulted in regrets for Gary. And as King discovers Daisy hooking up with chief engineer Colin Macrae, he feels both shock and jealousy. But the first mate also recognizes that he failed by not pursuing Daisy after their hookup, reported People.
“Daisy and I have had a connection — well, I certainly believe so, for many years,” claimed Gary. “And I think there’s chemistry there.” As a result, learning that Daisy and Colin had hooked up “certainly hit me. I was like, Wow. I’ve had my chance to get with Daisy, I didn’t take my chance,” King admitted.
“And now she’s hooking up with Colin and I’m jealous over it. So, it’s quite a contradiction,” added the Below Deck Sailing Yacht first mate. “But it’s just how I felt really.” However, as Gary looks back on the past two seasons, he thinks that chemistry existed between Daisy and Colin.

“Looking back now, after the season, going back to previous seasons, season 2 and 3, you can kinda see there was maybe a connection between Daisy and Colin,” claimed King. And he added, “I certainly noticed it.” However, the Below Deck Sailing Yacht first mate also pointed out that he spends time with Daisy just two months every year. And that means that a long-term relationship could prove challenging.

Below Deck Spoilers – A Love Triangle Falls Apart
However, Gary also shared that he survived the jealousy. And he decided not to let that love triangle hurt his friendship with Colin. “I’m not gonna let someone get in the way of a friendship. I mean, you can see from season 2 and 3, Colin and my relationship is really, really good,” he noted. “Yes, it was a love triangle and yes, Colin and I do argue a little bit. But I think we’ve brushed it under the rug.”
However, the same strong bond might not exist between Gary and Daisy. And King accused her of trying to get back at him. “You know you like me deep down,” he said to her. “And I feel you’re hooking up to get back at me — spitefully hooking up.”

But Daisy made it clear that she didn’t get involved with Colin as a way to get back at Gary. And instead, she feels that she and Colin always experienced chemistry. However, because he had a girlfriend, it never went any further. But once Colin became single, the hookup happened.
And Below Deck Sailing Yacht spoilers tease that the situation does offer challenges. As a result of the love triangle, Daisy struggles to maintain her relationship with Gary. “I don’t know why it gets complicated,” she shared. “But it does. I guess that’s what happens when you start making out with all your work colleagues. It definitely leads to some interesting conversations.”
