Below Deck Spoilers – Lee Talks ‘Mind-Blowing’ Show

For Captain Lee Rosbach, ten seasons starring in Below Deck seem just like yesterday. But the man dubbed the Stud Of The Sea refuses to hold onto grudges. And instead, as Below Deck season 11 begins with a different captain, Rosbach dished on his show’s phenomenal success. Captain Lee told OK magazine that he cherishes his memories from starring on Below Deck.

“I’m not sure it’s all that far behind me yet,” admitted Rosbach, 73, about the reality TV show. And he hinted that new projects await him. Because Below Deck and its spin-offs came from Bravo, Captain Lee looks forward to “working with them on some other projects.” As a result, he feels that “almost nothing really changed.”

But Bravo as well as Lee took a risk at the very beginning of Below Deck. Would viewers want to watch a workplace drama that took place on the ocean? And with Rosbach’s help, it became clear that fans loved not just Below Deck but Lee himself. As a result, the show’s success feels “really mind blowing,” noted Lee.

Below Deck Spoilers – Lee Names Favorite Crew Member

Captain Lee opened up about the risk that both he and Bravo took at the beginning. But Rosbach admitted that it felt “kind of scary” at first too. “Because when you first start, [you’re] doing something that nobody has ever done before,” noted the Stud Of The Sea. “Like filming on a moving boat. You don’t know how it’s going to be received or how it’s going to go.”

However, as Captain Lee looks back over his ten seasons on Below Deck, he feels proud. And he pointed out, “I don’t think anybody expected it to be received as well as it was.” But when Below Deck scored high ratings, “the whole thing just exploded in a good way,” added Rosbach. And that “good way” included Lee’s favorite crew member, Kate Chastain.

Because of Kate’s skills and experience, her interior department represented “one headache I didn’t have to be concerned with,” noted Lee. And he recalled how he never needed to worry about Kate or her department. “I’d give her a job, tell her what we were going to do, what the schedule was and she always got it,” added Captain Lee. And he praised her for only coming to him when it got serious. “Because she handled everything with ease,” noted Rosbach.
