Jamie Lynn Spears – Enlists For New Reality TV Show!

The new reality TV show, Special Forces, World’s Toughest Test, will reveal Jamie Lynn Spears doing her best to compete. And she talked with ET about the challenge. But the 31-year-old actress admitted that she felt somewhat fearful as well as guilty.

Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test, will air on Fox. And the new reality series involves an elite team of ex-Special Forces operatives getting celebrities like Jamie to go through intense training exercises. As a result, Jamie at first felt “really intimidated by it,” she confessed.

And Spears added, “I’m a control freak. I [didn’t] know how I’d feel in an environment where I don’t know what’s gonna happen. Also leaving my children was something that was really hard for me.” However, Jamie finally “just decided I was gonna do something I’ve never done before. When else would I have this once and a lifetime opportunity to go jump out a planes and travel across the world? I just think it’s something that, if you get asked, you can’t say no to.”

Jamie Lynn Spears – Feels Her Kids Will Benefit From Her Reality Show

Mom to Ivey, 4, and Maddie, 14, Jamie also thought that her children would benefit. And she explained, “To do something like this… [helps in] showing your children [that] you are a person and that, as they grow up, they should always remember to keep doing things that challenge them.” As a result, she hopes her children learn to “never back down from a challenge, never get stuck in a rut of any sort, and don’t be a afraid to say yes.”

And Jamie revealed that her older daughter encouraged her to take the risk. Spears sought to show her kids the value of going forth to “see what you’re capable of,”  she explained. “I think for me that was a big part of [deciding to do it]. My [older] daughter, when I told her about it, she was like, ‘Yes, go do it.’ I did think that I did think that was important for me just to do something that scared me a little bit.”

However, even though participating felt like a “win,” Spears struggled with guilt over leaving her kids. And so she bonded with another mom in the group, Beverly Mitchell. Beverly, 41, parents Mayzel, 2, Hutton, 7, and Kenzie, 9. And Jamie appreciated having “another mom next to me being like, ‘You got this,'” revealed Spears.

Kenya Moore, Beverly Mitchell – Also Star On New Reality Show

And Mitchell agreed that bonding with other cast members helped. The reality show includes Hannah Brown, Kenya Moore and Gus Kenworthy. And they all agreed that supporting each other played a key role in surviving.

But Spears admitted she felt “no choice but to instantly bond.” However, she felt that made the show “so special. Because people are immediately just people,” gushed Jamie. “And I just love that. I’m so glad that I was able to do this and I would have truly regretted it if I didn’t, ’cause I have a whole new group of friends that I feel like is family. Just having them in this industry it feels really nice.” Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test will begin on January 4 on Fox.
