Brittany Cartwright Takes Over ‘When Reality Hits’ Podcast, Fans React

Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright, formerly on Vanderpump Rules, started their When Reality Hits podcast in March of 2023. This weekend, the mom of Cruz announced that she’s taking it over. Probably, it won’t affect Jax much as he started another podcast in October last year, called, In the Mind of a Man. Read on to find out how Bravo fans reacted to Brittany’s next move.

Jax, now on The Valley, and Brittany went through very difficult times, and the next season of the show promises a lot of drama. Ahead of the premiere, Jax Taylor, who had spent time in a mental health facility came out and confessed his cocaine addiction. Shortly after that, Brittany made her podcast announcement

Some Bravo fans wondered if Jax only confessed his addiction now to boost ratings for The Valley. Naturally, if that is the case, then Brittany Cartwright announcing the takeover of When Reality Hits now might be good planning on her behalf. On March 9, 2025, on Instagram, she wrote:

It’s official! I can finally announce that moving forward I’ll be taking over When Reality Hits! Full rebrand coming your way very soooon. I’m just so thankful for all of the love and support.

On her page, The Valley fans seemed encouraging. However, different opinions arrived elsewhere.

Fans React To The News

On Vanderpump Rules, Brittany Cartwright often found critics who could see villain Jax coming from a mile away. Remove Jax, some folks reasoned, and there’s not that much very interesting about Brittany who goes through a messy divorce.  

For other viewers of The Valley, all the drama doesn’t feel exciting. They are way too worried about Cruz, their gorgeous kid who sits in the middle of a toxic situation. When @cici.loves.you shared the news on Instagram, one follower wrote, “What could she possibly have to talk about!”

Another reality TV fan said, “I feel for Brittany but all I can see in this situation is that innocent little boy’s face. Breaks my heart “

Here are a few more thoughts about Brittany Cartwright taking over the podcast:

• She’s the town crier.
• These people are in their late 30’s/40’s. Grow TF up & stop publicly embarrassing this kid. It’s tacky.
• Yuck! I could never listen to a podcast with just her. Her voice makes me cringe. She makes me cringe.
• That woman has her own set of huge problems and they’re certainly not all Jax!
• I just don’t think Brit has the fan base to carry this on her own. Throwing her baby daddy under the bus for doing the same drugs she’s been taking this whole time is not going to win…new followers either.
