Teasers for the KUWTK spin-off, The Kardashians, reveal how Kim Kardashian reacted when Kanye West displayed increasingly erratic behavior. And the spoilers show Kim crying to her mother Kris Jenner over her estranged husband’s actions.

Because West attacked the family repeatedly, Kim felt increasingly overwhelmed, noted People.

As a result of Kanye’s behavior, Kim feared that she would become “stuck with this for the rest of my life,” the 42-year-old mom of four confided in Kris. “And I’m just so overwhelmed.” But Kim struggled with the fact that she could not control Kanye. However, she worried about how her estranged husband’s behavior impacted their kids.

And Kris pointed out that the impact on the children represents “the tragic part of the whole story.” However, in a confessional, Kim shared that she tried to hide Kanye’s behavior from their children. “I still feel the need to not talk about it and protect it from my kids,” revealed Kardashian. “And I always will feel that way. But God, if people knew. I just would never do that to my kids. It just is really crazy.”

However, the episode also revealed what Kim viewed as the biggest challenge in her divorce from Kanye. And she reflected, “It’s the hardest feeling to watch someone you really loved and you have a family with just be so different than who you knew.” But Kim also seemed concerned that her estranged husband, 45, would need to hit “rock bottom” before he realized how his actions impacted those around him.

“Sometimes I feel like if he were to hit rock bottom, that’s his journey that he needs to figure out on his own. I used to run around and call everyone behind his back, and be like, ‘It’s gonna be OK, it’s gonna be OK, don’t worry. Just give him another chance,'” recalled Kim. “I used to spend hours and hours and hours of my day to be the clean-up crew.” But Kardashian finally realized that she just didn’t possess the necessary “energy” to continue on the “clean-up crew.”

And Kris pointed out, “Well, that’s why you got divorced because you can’t do that to yourself. You never deserve to live like that.” However, the reality TV mom and daughter also discussed how West’s behavior impacted their kids North, 9, Saint, 7, Chicago, 5, and Psalm, 4. And Kris theorized that North knew about it but stayed silent.

However, Kim disagreed. And Kardashian believes that North “actually doesn’t know and that’s what’s so crazy. When stuff is said, it’s a chain to my whole household. No TV, only Apple TV. I can’t risk an Access Hollywood … or anything on the news coming up with their dad mentioned and they want to watch,” she noted. “I have to figure out a way to protect and so they still haven’t seen anything. But then I go into crisis mode.”
