American Idol is set to return with an all new season on January 26, and fan fave Carrie Underwood will be back as a judge.
Longtime Carrie fans know she got her start on Idol years ago, and it’s inspiring to have her back as a judge rather than a competitor this time around.
American Idol Returns With A New Season
Season 23 was Carrie’s debut as an American Idol judge and she’ll be back this week for a second season, alongside Luke Bryan and Lionel Ritchie. Obviously, Ryan Seacrest will be back as a host when the show premieres.
Underwood recently sat down for an interview to promote the new season of Idol, and promised this season she will be EVEN better! Is that possible?
Carrie Underwood and the rest of the American Idol judges are busy doing the press rounds as the premiere inches closer.
During an appearance on “Y’all Access Radio” Carrie raved, “I feel more confident in myself in this role. I feel like last year, you wonder if you’ll have anything to say. You wonder what kind of a judge you’ll be because you really don’t know until you get in there. But I feel good, and I feel good about the talent, for sure.”
Carrie Underwood Shuts Down Idol Critics
When Carrie first joined Idol last season, some longtime fans feared she wouldn’t be a good match for the singing competition because she was only familiar with country music.
But, Underwood quickly put her doubters to rest and proved she was exactly the breath of fresh air that American Idol needed.
American Idol Season 24 is set to premiere on Monday January 26 on ABC. Are you happy that Carrie Underwood is returning for another season? Will you be tuning in?
