Chrisley Knows Best – Todd Chrisley Flaunts New Corvette

Chrisley Knows Best spoilers reveal that, according to Insider, going to prison for bank fraud was clearly far from Todd Chrisley’s mind when he went out and bought a Corvette convertible on the latest episode of the USA Network show.

In the episode which aired Monday, the 53-year-old father of five showed off his new car, a mint condition 1960 Chevrolet Corvette convertible. At the beginning of the episode that was filmed back in 2022 before the Chrisley patriarch and his wife were convicted of bank fraud and tax evasion, Todd pulls up to his daughter Savannah’s home in the new hot rod. He later tells the family he named the car Jayne Mansfield after the 1960s sex symbol.

When he sees the posh car, Julie’s father Harvey Hughes declares, “You gotta be kidding me — a ’60 Corvette!”

“Son, you know some of the best memories I have in my life start with a ’60 Corvette,” he marveled. “Well I wouldn’t know about those kinds of things,” Todd responded, clarifying that he had bought it merely because he looked good in it.

Later Julie said in an interview that she thought the car provided the perfect opportunity for her father and husband to bond and suggested that they take it for a spin together. “Julie, honey, bonding leads to friendship,” Todd joked. “And I’m all booked up with my three besties: me, myself, and I.”

Tood did ultimately give his father-in-law a ride around the neighborhood and Harvey later by his son-in-law and himself matching hoodies with the words “Todd’s Classic Car Club” emblazoned on them.

Listings in Autotrader value the Roman red and ermine white 1960 Chevrolet Corvette at between $89,000 and $250,000 depending on its condition. According to Insider in May 2022, prior to the trial. Todd and Julie were, at the time, splurging on luxury items using bank loans.

As the assistant US attorney Annalise Peters said as their trial began, The Chrisley’s not only submitted fake documents implying they had greater wealth than they actually did, but they also burned through $30 million they got in loans because of the fake documents.

According to the Chrisley’s attorney Bruce Morris, despite Todd’s attempts to appear wealthy on the reality show, he was actually in bankruptcy when he made the claim about his hefty wardrobe budget of $300,000 annually, in 2014.
