Counting On fans probably never, ever, in a million years expected that Ben Seewald might officiate at a funeral for a gay person. Bear in mind, the entire family was raised to believe that the LBGTQ+ community sins against the word of God. So what is going on? Allegedly, Ben will be the one presiding over the death of a person who was gay and in a same-sex marriage.

Counting On Spoilers – Ben & Jessa Seewald Are Not Open-Minded
Ben Seewald studied and eventually became a pastor. Sometimes, he addresses issues that relate closely to his family. In fact, people suspect that he slammed Jill Dillard and Jinger Vuolo for writing their books about the Institute of Basic Life Principles (IBLP). That aside, he seems to be very much against the homosexual community. So, TLC fans might find it odd that he will allegedly officiate a funeral for someone from that community.
Counting On fans waited with bated breath for a reaction from the Duggar family when rumors arrived that Josh had engaged in a relationship with a trans person in prison. No direct statement came, but a spin seemed to have been put on it. So, it looked like nothing happened. And, even if it did, it was the fault of the prison service for putting Josh within reach of someone who did not identify as male. Therefore, it seems puzzling that a gay person gets buried by a relative of the Duggar family.

Recently, Katie Joy of Without A Crystal Ball reported that the police visited Tontitown. At the time, nobody knew why they went there. Well, a recent update revealed that they allegedly delivered a death message to his nephew, Bob Duggar. Apparently, Mary Duggar had a younger brother named Tommy Lester who passed away. So, they told his nephew about the death. Tommy Lester was married to a guy named Lawrence and they lived a gay lifestyle.

On June 27, Counting On fans who follow Without A Crystal Ball on Instagram saw that allegedly, Ben Seewald will bury Jessa’s great uncle, Tommy Lester. Katie explained in her caption, “Jessa Duggar’s great Uncle Tommy Lester passed away from cardiac arrest on Sunday morning.” She added, “Tommy’s obituary states that Pastor Ben Seewald will officiate the graveside memorial.”

Counting On fans seemed to feel that it was rather odd. Katie opined, “The man that says people should deny their gay feelings and pray away the gay [is] giving the last rights to an openly gay man that was estranged from the family for decades.”
