Chrisley Knows Best – Stars Use Phones In Prison?
Because Julie and Todd received assignments to separate prisons, some wondered how the closely knit Chrisley Knows Best couple would do. And their sentences mean years behind bars without seeing each other. For instance, on January 17, the 53-year-old Chrisley Knows Best patriarch started his sentence of 12 years in a federal prison in Pensacola, Florida. But Julie, 50, began her sentence of seven years in a prison located in Lexington, Kentucky, according to Hollywood Life.
And most of the Chrisley Knows Best clan resides in Nashville, Tennessee. However, although Todd and Julie faced guilty verdicts of tax evasion, bank fraud, and wire fraud, their kids have defended their parents. And they think that Todd and Julie got unfair sentences. As a result, insiders shared that the Chrisley Knows Best matriarch and patriarch feel better because they can talk to their family.
“Todd and Julie have had several phone calls with their children and family,” shared one insider. And that seems especially helpful for Savannah, 25. She has taken on the role of caring for her brother Kyle‘s biological daughter, Chloe, 10, who was adopted by Todd and Julie. However, Savannah also has become the guardian to her younger brother, Grayson, 16.

Savannah Chrisley – Takes On Key Role
During her parents’ lengthy prison sentences, Savannah also will help Todd’s 77-year-old mother, Nanny Faye. Fans of Chrisley Knows Best adore Nanny Faye. But tragically, she received a diagnosis of bladder cancer in November 2022. And for Todd and Julie, gathering on the phone to talk with family members helps reassure them.
But of course visits in person would mean even more. And while Todd and Julie try to do “the best they can,” the circumstances make it challenging, noted the insider. However, the Chrisley Knows Best couple look forward to family visits. “The family is planning to visit them within the next several weeks and their visits will be staggered,” said the source. “Julie is much easier to visit than Todd due to the distance between them.” But Todd and Julie both must follow rigid rules about how much time they can spend talking with their family members. And that includes phone calls as well as visits in person.
