Donald Trump Will Get Royalties From This Reality TV Show, Believe It Or Not!

Editorial credit: Babooo0 / Shutterstock.com It’s almost surreal to think that Donald Trump, the former president of the United States, once starred in a reality TV show that captured the nation’s attention. “The Apprentice” was more than just a TV series—it was a cultural phenomenon.

For those who want to relive those moments, all seven seasons are now available to stream on Amazon Prime, giving fans a chance to revisit the show’s intense competition and memorable moments. Trump himself might be seeing some financial benefit from this streaming deal, likely earning royalties from its re-release.

A Reality TV Hit

“The Apprentice” was a TV event that helped define the 2000s. With 16 contestants vying for a $250,000 salary and a job with Trump himself, it was as much about watching personalities clash as it was about business acumen.

The stakes were high, and the drama was even higher. Each week, Trump would eliminate a contestant with his now-iconic catchphrase, “You’re fired!”

The show not only solidified Trump’s status as a TV personality but also introduced the world to the likes of Omarosa, who would go on to become one of the most notorious figures in reality TV history.

Now that the series is available for streaming, it’s not just a chance to reminisce about the past but also a financial win for Trump.

As an executive producer, he is likely to benefit from the deal, which marks the first time “The Apprentice” has been made available on a streaming platform, according to Fortune.

Trump himself reflected on the impact of the show in a press statement: “I look forward to watching this show myself – such great memories, and so much fun. But most importantly, it was a learning experience for all of us!”

Behind the Scenes Drama

Of course, no reality TV show is without its share of controversy. Fortune also reported that some behind-the-scenes issues were raised by Bill Pruitt, a former producer on the show, who shared his thoughts on Slate.

Pruitt alleged that the production involved manipulations and cover-ups, suggesting that many of the less-than-glamorous moments—such as racist and misogynistic comments and questionable behavior—were intentionally hidden from viewers.

He even added, “We scammed. We swindled. Nobody heard the racist and misogynistic comments or saw the alleged cheating, the bluffing, or his hair taking off in the wind.”

As The Apprentice made its mark on television, Trump’s presence continued to loom large, both on and off-screen.

The show helped shape his public persona, and it’s no surprise that the nostalgia surrounding it is bringing attention to a time long gone.

While the focus is currently on The Apprentice, there’s speculation that The Celebrity Apprentice could soon follow in its footsteps, especially considering the roster of famous faces who once graced the show, including stars from Real Housewives of Beverly Hills like Kyle Richards, Lisa Rinna, and Brandi Glanville.

Teresa Giudice, from Real Housewives of New Jersey, even went so far as to call Trump “broke”—adding an extra layer of drama to the already loaded show.

For now, fans can dive back into the original Apprentice series, which is available to stream on Amazon Prime, and see how it all began.
